Spark exists to recognize kindness. These guidelines keep it that way. They apply to messages, badges, profiles, photos, usernames, and publicly shared Sparks.
What Spark is for
- Thanking someone for great service, help, or a meaningful act.
- Sending a small monetary gift with a genuine message of appreciation.
- Celebrating people publicly — but only when the recipient chooses to share.
Not allowed
- Fundraising, donation appeals, or charitable solicitation.
- Using Spark to pay for goods, services, invoices, rent, or debts.
- Harassment, hate speech, threats, bullying, or targeting anyone.
- Sexual, violent, or otherwise explicit content.
- Fraud, scams, phishing, money laundering, or impersonation.
- Gambling, prizes, contests, or anything requiring a payment to enter.
- Sharing another person's private information without consent.
- Spam, bulk automated Sparks, or manipulating the public feed.
- Anything illegal, or anything prohibited by our payment partner.
Privacy is the recipient's choice
Only recipients decide whether a Spark appears on the public feed. Never pressure someone to make a Spark public, and don't post someone else's Spark elsewhere without asking.
Reporting
If you see a message, profile, or Spark that breaks these guidelines, email support@get-sparkd.com with the details. We review every report.
Enforcement
Depending on severity we may remove content, hide a Spark from the public feed, limit account features, or permanently close an account. Serious cases may be reported to our payment partner or to law enforcement.
